Vibration Monitoring
The control of vibration regulations 2005 limit the levels of vibration a person may be exposed to during a working day. They require employers to ensure that vibration exposures during the course of their business do not exceed maximum levels, to assess vibration levels and exposure times, and develop strategies to reduce vibration levels and exposures where appropriate.
The regulations also require that organisations ensure there is a system of health surveillance for all workers where there is a significant risk of Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS).
